Description Martin Meyer 2008-11-10 15:31:35 UTC
I was just attempting to upgrade my xorg-server package to 1.5.2, and the build failed because the compiler couldn't find an include GL/gl.h. I've confirmed this file is located at /usr/include/GL/gl.h, but that path doesn't seem to be in the include path passed to GCC:

None of my settings are particularly risky. Here's my emerge --info output:

Why isn't /usr/include in the default include path?

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Martin Meyer 2008-11-10 15:51:24 UTC
This seems to have been caused by a failure when I uninstalled the proprietary nvidia driver. 'eselect opengl set ..' failed. I manually deleted two broken symlinks, and the package emerged fine.

I'm going to close as invalid since it wasn't the fault of the package or anything related to gentoo (except maybe eselect).

got the same here
