kde-base/kde-wallpapers-4.1.2 depends on a lot of packages including kdelibs, strigi and qt. I'm fairly sure the wallpapers don't link to any libraries and work fine without a desktop search, hence the dependencies are unneeded.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Don't have kde or kdelibs installed
2. Try to install kde-wallpapers

Actual Results:  
kde-wallpapers is installed without any major dependencies (probably none)


Expected Results:  
Lots of unneeded packages are pulled in

You're probably right that the dependencies are not needed, but I think it's going to be a tough change to make because the dependencies come from the kde4-meta eclass. I doubt maintainers of the eclass are going to want to special-case the dependencies for the rare KDE package that doesn't need kdelibs...

anyways, assigning to kde team who might know a good solution.

As explained by wormo, we're not interested in dropping these deps from the eclass - furthermore, why should you want this package if you don't want KDE? qt and kdelibs are the base KDE deps.
