x48-0.4.3-r1 does not work, because only pixel garbage is displayed in the display of x48. The buttons are OK, I can press the buttons. But I can't recognize anyting in the display.

Hello,

The problem is not resticted to x48-0.4.3-r1
the upstream code has not been changes since 2005.

The main problem seems to be the handling of MIT-SHM:
Changing line 1047 in src/Makefile
from
DEFINES = -I/usr/openwin/include -DLINUX -DHAVE_XSHM -DHAVE_READLINE
to
DEFINES = -I/usr/openwin/include -DLINUX -DHAVE_READLINE
fixes the display problems.

This should be fixed in app-emulation/x48-0.6.1
Please reopen if the problem persists in that version
