Bug 245583 – media-video/cheese-2.22.3 : hangs if I try to record the video

When I try to record video in cheese, the video window becomes black and nothing records. If I try to stop recording, cheese hangs and I have to kill the application.

When I run cheese in verbose mode in console, it prints this:
** Message: Error: Stream contains no data.

Can't typefind empty stream

totem-video-thumbnailer couldn't open file 'file:///home/m1c4a1/.gnome2/cheese/media/0010.ogg'
Reason: Stream contains no data..

There are empty files in $HOME/.gnome2/cheese/media/
I have no problems with taking pictures.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. run cheese
2. select Video
3. push the Start recording button


Actual Results:  
cheese doesn't record video and it even hangs if I try to end recording (webcam LED switches off).

Expected Results:  
Normal video recording.

please try 2.24.2. I think it contains fixes for this kind of bug.
