Created attachment 183642 [details] Working screen-9999.ebuild Found it here: http://gentoo-overlays.zugaina.org/live-ebuilds/portage/app-misc/screen/screen-9999.ebuild And removed two patches to get it working... I second the need for a live ebuild. Upstream has been slow to provide a formal new release (the last one was August 2008), even though it has been requested more than once on the GNU Screen user's mailing list. Many of the recommended solutions to GNU Screen problems seem to be "try the latest version from git" (in reference to git://git.sv.gnu.org/screen.git | http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/screen.git/). There is plenty of ongoing commit activity. This bug requests an ebuild based on git.eclass The "working screen-9999.ebuild" file above uses CVS. The CVS is really out of date. For example, the /src/NEWS.3.5 file: CVS: http://cvs.savannah.gnu.org/viewvc/screen/screen/src/NEWS.3.5?sortby=file&view=log GIT: http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/screen.git/log/src/NEWS.3.5 The two "-9999" ebuilds listed here [1] are based on git. [1] http://gpo.zugaina.org/app-misc/screen I've commited an initial version of live git ebuild. |
