Description Kobboi 2008-10-27 14:31:28 UTC
I'm trying to run VirtualBox. Version 1.6.4 fails because of some library (libqt-mt) that I appear to miss. Versions 2.0.2 and 2.0.4 (latter from the jokey overlay) start normally and I can configure a VM in it. When I start the VM I get an error message like this one:

The VirtualBox support driver which is running is from a different version of VirtualBox. You can correct this by stopping all running instances of VirtualBox and reinstalling the software..
VBox status code: -1912 (VERR_VM_DRIVER_VERSION_MISMATCH).

Result Code:
NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component:
Console
Interface:
IConsole {d5a1cbda-f5d7-4824-9afe-d640c94c7dcf}

dmesg on the other hand shows the correct version of the module is loaded and the GUI shows I'm using the correct version of the software. I've even rebooted to make sure everything was clean.

Reproducible: Always

1) Please post your `emerge --info' too.
2) Also, file separate bug reports for separate bugs - you appear to have found.
3) Please post the output of the commands you ran, not something you remember.
Comment 3 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-10-27 18:19:49 UTC
2) *found two problems.
