hi, its possible to update util-linux-2.11.z-r4 with the AES patch from 
http://loop-aes.sourceforge.net/loop-AES-latest.tar.bz2

just put the util-linux-2.11z.diff from the loop-AES-current.tar.bz2 into the 
/usr/portage/sys-apps/util-linux/files directory and the ebuild into 
/usr/portage/sys-apps/util-linux 
then run emerge -u util-linux 
 
get the ebuild from http://majestic.lugh.de/~sk/files/util-linux-2.11z-r5.ebuild, bugzilla 
doesn't accept it
