you just updated mesa & xorg-server, this sounds like the white cube issue again. Ok, I found it. It appears Gilles was referring to bug 148675, which suggests that compiz, mesa and xorg-server are using different versions of the glproto package. Can you please ensure that you've recompiled mesa, xorg-server and compiz, and whether the problem still occurs? Also, you appear to be using i810 as your video card. This was recently renamed to intel, so please run "emerge --sync", change your VIDEO_CARDS="i810" entry, and ensure that your xorg.conf mentions only 'driver "intel"' not 'driver "i810"'. Thanks... 5:) > The problem still occurs for me. I have VIDEO_CARDS="intel" and I synced before try. I also re-emerged glproto. I will try recompile completely Xorg and Compiz. Strangely with mm-sources (2.6.28) I can start Compiz without the blank screen. Is this a workaround? compiz is working good now. :) |
