Seems like media-video/ffmpeg-0.4.9_p20081014 breaks this package. have to confirm my last message here. # echo "=media-video/ffmpeg-0.4.9_p20081014" >> /etc/portage/package.mask makes x11-misc/xvidcap-1.1.7_rc1 to build smooth. Patched the app to compile and work successfully. Further tests needed.

Thank you for your efforts. But I think it would be more useful to get the 1.1.7 release version patched so we can add that instead of fixing this rc. So I'm closing this bug as WONTFIX and refer people to work on bug #234383 instead. |
