An easy way to save your preferences and settings to the hardisk would be nice. 
Perhaps a user called local, that would save have it's /home/local be on a local disk 
that is automatically detected, or in a windows folder even for conversion purposes. 
Maybe a question/answer driven script on the root users desktop to make partition 
selection less of a headache. This all depends on the ultimate goals of this livecd, and 
if it is desirable for it to be more then a fancy install cd.

at this point we have no set goals for kde/gnome cds, but I think what
your asking will happen some day
