Emerge gimp with USE="jpeg". It seems like the file-psd plugin needs libjpeg, but the linker can't find it when gimp is configured without jpeg-support. Right. This way gimp compiled. Thank you. Created attachment 167746 [details, diff]

If Gimp isn't configured with JPEG support, don't build the PSD-file plugin as well.
I'm not sure whether this can be considered a fix or only a workaround for the emerge to succeed. That is, I have no idea whether the PSD plugin actually requires JPEG support for Gimp.

simon, have you sent that upstream? I think this is a proper fix and should go into the gimp codebase. added Yes, I've reported upstream and the patch has already been applied. |
