This bug appears to have been overlooked. Could you test if this occurs with 1.1.9 and if not, post the output of emerge -pv cmake. Strangely enough, I just did:
# emerge -s cdrkit
* app-cdr/cdrkit
Latest version available: 1.1.8
Latest version installed: 1.1.8
Apparently I no longer have any issues.
I also just temporarily installed the unstable version (1.1.9) and then went back to 1.1.8, and both installations completed without a hitch.
This bug can be closed IMO.
