Hmm... Works on some pages, not on others. Youtube actually is working. The following link doesn't: http://www.oldskool.org/pc/8088_Corruption (there's an embedded Google video there) Google video directly works. I have no idea whether this is new information or a known problem... Feel free to reassign or CC to lack@g.o if need be. Please try the latest ~arch net-www/netscape-flash-10_rc20080915 and let me know how that works for you. No luck. Furthermore, the reason I don't use the latest Flash is that many sites don't recognize it - saying I need to install it (e.g. The Daily Show's Web site). Rumor has it the reason is that 10 precedes 9 in lexicographic order, so those sites think I have an older Flash. (In reply to comment #4) > No luck. Typical :) Maybe when adobe releases version 10 for real they should call it version "a". The bad news is that there really isn't a lot I can do about the flash plugin - It's closed source, so it either works or it doesn't. :( Well, the actual release of 10 is out, and for what it's worth, 9 will soon be going away due to security concerns (#239543). I'm very sorry to say that if the latest flash-10 in the tree doesn't work for you there's really not a lot I can do for you. Please try the latest v10 and cross your fingers. I have masked version 9. If version 10 doesn't work, there's not a lot I can do, sadly. |
