kdetest@pena ~ $ grep Icon Desktop/.directory 
Icon=desktop
kdetest@pena ~ $ kiconfinder desktop
kdetest@pena ~ $ kiconfinder folder
/usr/share/icons/oxygen/48x48/places/folder.png

This means that it's shown with an unknown icon. Might want to document this to an upgrade guide or something.
