build.log is about 5M while limit to attached files is 500K so build log attache as gzip compressed file Please retry to build with MAKEOPTS="-j1" and just post the relevant part of the build failure. Unfortunately the multi-process build makes it nearly impossible to read the error output It looks like a missing dmake dependency for rasqal from librdf. Is there no system configure switch for these? error is this: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc -DLIBRDF_INTERNAL=1 -pipe -march=native -mtune=native -DGL_GLEXT_PROTOTYPES -DLIBRDF_INTERNAL=1 -pipe -march=native -mtune=native -DGL_GLEXT_PROTOTYPES -o .libs /redland-db-upgrade db_upgrade.o -Wl,-rpath -Wl,\$ORIGIN:\$ORIGIN/../ure-link/lib -Wl,-noinhibit-exec -Wl,-z -Wl,noexecstack -L/var/tmp/portage/app-office/openoffice-3.0.0_rc1/work/oo o/build/ooo300-m5/solver/300/unxlngx6.pro/lib ../librdf/.libs/librdf.so /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.3.1/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: warning: librasqal.so.0, needed by ../librdf/.libs/librdf.so, not found (try using -rpath or -rpath-link) ../librdf/.libs/librdf.so: undefined reference to `rasqal_free_data_graph' ../librdf/.libs/librdf.so: undefined reference to `rasqal_init' ../librdf/.libs/librdf.so: undefined reference to `rasqal_new_uri_literal' ... Compressed build log
There is the flag '--with-system-redland' somewhat hidden in configure script. OOo3 has a patched redland-1.0.7 version. Portage tree has redland-1.0.8. OOo states that it has problems with unpatched redland-1.0.7. I build with system redland-1.0.8. It compiles but I wonder if runtime is ok. I will ask OOo devs next days. (In reply to comment #9) > OOo states that it has problems with unpatched redland-1.0.7. Yeah, that's the reason I didn't use system-redland until now. @Alexey: Do you still experience that problem with newer releases? I experience the problem building openoffice on the same vcl module. If I remove kde USE flag, it compiles fine. The problem might be that I have kde4 installed. This is discussed in another bug: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=238539 Building --with-system-redland didn't help in my case. I also had the rasqal problem. I was sure it was java because i noticed OOo-3.0.0 rebuild crashing on vcl right after emerging netbeans (which pulled in a lot of java stuff). I was building it with this flags: cups dbus eds gnome gstreamer gtk java ldap linguas_en linguas_pl nsplugin opengl pam. Today I will try adding mono and templates. Anyway I guess rasqal should be a dependency (no one likes having packages they don't exactly need in world). (which i found via google and didn't realize it was closed already as invalid(?) ) alright, sorry for the noise. my actual build-failure was about Xge.h. but emerging rasqal did fix all those undefined references and bumping up xextproto-9999 from git did then fix my buildfailure. I just hit this bug for the first time on ~x86 for 3.0.1. I've had OOo installed for ages but a revdep-rebuild recently triggered a rebuild of it and this problem occurred. Of course lots of things have changed since the last time I successfully emerged 3.0.1, so I don't know why it's broken now. I don't think that I ever had rasqal or redland installed before and OOo built fine, so it seems strange that it would fail now. However, I will try emerging them and see what happens. Here's a link to what the VCL is, in case you were wondering like me: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/VCL Why is this categorised as an ebuild enhancement? Shouldn't it be a regular bug? Actually, I can tell you that I last successfully emerged 3.0.1 on 12/04/2009. So maybe because I changed a USE flag for one of the dependencies of OOo, that broke it? Hmmm... We are using system-redland since quite some time, so original bug report is fixed, closing |
