Proposed patch for subversion-1.5.1.ebuild

Description Andrew John Hughes 2008-09-12 22:07:33 UTC
dev-util/subversion-1.5.1 when installed with the 'emacs' USE flag causes emacs to complain about a missing 'vc-svn'. Only rebuilding without the USE flag seems to fix this.

Reproducible: Always

Proposed patch for subversion-1.5.1.ebuild

I can reproduce the problem with emacs-21.4-r17 (which we still support).
Attached patch should fix it.

Take 2, I had forgotten to change .el* to .{el.elc} in one place.
Comment 3 Andrew John Hughes 2008-10-15 18:59:14 UTC
Emerged 1.5.2 from the tree and this still isn't fixed :(

Indeed.

@yngwin: You did the 1.5.2 version bump, any reason why attached patch cannot be applied?
Comment 5 Ben de Groot (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-10-16 11:32:43 UTC
No clue really. I just bumped it because the regular maintainer was on holiday. But if there are no objections from Benedikt or Arfrever, I wouldn't mind committing the patch.
Comment 6 Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2008-10-16 12:44:17 UTC
Well, the problem had been fixed already in subversion-1.4.3 (see bug 158891). It reappeared in 1.4.4-r2 (bug 158891 comment #12) and was fixed again in 1.4.4-r3.

Now 1.5.0_rc4 and later are broken again, AFAICS the problem was reintroduced with the ebuild attached to bug 219395.

Sorry, but I'm starting to get tired of this game. :-(

No objections for this patch. Please commit it.
Comment 8 Benedikt Böhm (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-10-25 12:48:45 UTC
fixed in 1.5.4, thanks
