I am sorry, its very confusing for me to explain situation. It all involves a lot of gui, so as result not much i can do to explain it properly.
I have 2 applications that have issues with check spell function: abiword and open office word. I prefer first application to second. I was contacting irc channel of abi word, and lads from there think that i have issue with enchant. Looks like i don't have english dictionary(which i require)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.run program
2.open document or create new one
3. run spell checker

Actual Results:  
it doesnt spell check.
in case of abiword - option to spell check is greyed out, pressing F7 does nothing.
in case of open office - spell check funtion comes up - but finds no errors, even if they are there.

Expected Results:  
supposed to help me write my CV... :(

as you can see, make.conf contains "spell" flag. I decided to try ~amd64 flag on "enchant" - got 1.4.2 version compiled without any issues, it didnt solve problem. now i have downgraded back to 1.3.0.
I did:
localhost dimko # USE="aspell hunspell zemberek" emerge -pv enchant

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Previously i did smth like USE="spell" emerge -D abiword. it didnt help... abiword plugins are compiled as well.

OK, i have downgraded enchanted back to 1.3.0 and suddenyly it just works!
Open office is having same issue as it did have before, but i dont care much about it.

openoffice and openoffice-bin don't use enchant for spell-checking. 
They include following post-install message:

    elog " Spell checking is now provided through our own myspell-ebuilds, "
    elog " if you want to use it, please install the correct myspell package "
    elog " according to your language needs. "

So, if enchant works with abiword then you're all set. Closing this bug. If you later find openoffice doesn't work with myspell, feel free to open another.
