some rc releases blow away previous releases ... some rc releases remain as the only release for a long time :) (not saying its the same with proftpd ...) I can understand wanting more features but 1.2.9_rc1 has only been out a little more than a month and is just a release candidate. If somebody really needs bleeding edge then they can use arch=~x86. Brett There is a known security issue with the mysql module in 1.2.8 which is why 1.2.9_rc1 was marked stable. I have not removed 1.2.8 from portage so you can still install this package if you wish. Wow. I read bug id 23092 on this. Sorry for the bother. |
