Description Sjoerd Job Postmus 2008-08-21 21:24:41 UTC
When the PNG file for a certain theme is interlaced, the fbsplash utility has weird effects.

Best described:
First, the PNG is shown (shrinked) at the top. With an aspect ratio of 1:2* the original ratio.
Below that, the same image is shown, with the correct aspect ratio.
Belot that, the same image is shown, twice as wide, with the 1:2*orig aspect ratio
(I believe this continues offscreen, until the full image is shown).

After changing the PNG to *not* be interlaced, the sillyness stopped, and all went well.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Save a theme-file as .png, interlaced.
2. Load the theme. Notice it is wrong now?
3. Save the same file as .png, non-interlaced.
4. Load the theme. Notice it is correct now?

Actual Results:
At step two, the silly effect with several small images happens.

Expected Results:
Step 2 should equal step 4.

Please post your `emerge --info' and also tell us which package fpsplash is part of.
