Forwarding to ppc64, i case there this is a platform issue. I had a look and those distros seem to be 32ul while you're on 64ul, and eclipse runs on 32ul so should be a userland problem. I got that output on a x86 box for the eclipse-ppc, seems normal. Have you got a *32-bit* Java SDK? This is probably your problem. For instance this user is x86_64 and had this same error while loading the i386 version: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=892976 > I got that output on a x86 box for the eclipse-ppc, seems normal.
I ment ldd, and 'file eclipse'. And I believe I had the same "no such file" output on x86 when Java wasn't well set up.
this is well beyond gentoo/ppc64 scope... please report this issue upstream. you should check before if you have java working correctly and if eclipse from eclipse.org is supposted to work with 64bit userland on ppc64. |
