udev-check-usage.patch
This patch is rather hackish, but should work fine for those using openrc.
We could also check if udevd is running before and only restarted it in that case. Adding condition like this if pidof -s /sbin/udevd &>/dev/null; then restart it fi For now only the killing of udevd is wrapped into that condition but not the starting. if the solution in Bug 129204 was merged, this would "go away" ... Fixed for udev-124-r{1,2}. All newer ebuilds were already fixed. |
