I've created rsync1.au.gentoo.org as a CNAME as requested. Unfortunately, the DNS RFS (and thus, our DNS software) doesn't support the use of CNAMES in round robin rotations, which we rely upon for our rsync rotations. For now, I've changed the IP addresses to 203.16.234.26 which I believe is the correct IP address. --kurt thanks. can you also check to see if rsync.au.gentoo.org and rsync.asia.gentoo.org are all also pointing to the correct ip# ? lastly, at one stage we used to be in the global rsync.gentoo.org space but seemed to have dropped out of that.. i'm happy not to go back in if you think that people are using the above addresses in preference.. regards, -jason |
