xevie 1.0 has some issues with xkbSetDetectableAutoRepeat that have been patched in 1.1 a few years back.

I would have upgrade the ebuild myself however i can seem to figure out what its doing... looks like its just a bunch of depends...  If someone doesnt mind explaining how the modular x ebuilds work i maybe more useful in the future :)

We've got the latest release in the tree. It looks like you're getting 1.11 from a solaris internal CVS revision number. We can't add code that doesn't exist upstream, so please push the solaris folks to get it there if it's not.

I made an incorrect assumption that the fix you pointed at was in libXevie, when it's actually in xorg-server.

It was committed 3 years ago, so if you're hitting this again, it's probably a new bug. If that is the case, please file it at bugs.freedesktop.org in the xorg product.
