I can confirm that this Nic is present in the PUEL/binary edition So it was taken out of the OSE? Since I remember having some Intel thing in one of the older versions. Since I remember having some Intel thing in one > of the older versions. i think yes but at this point i will ping virtualbox's developers to clear this out. > I guess FreeNode's #vbox doesn't know its own software then. ;) or maybe this could be a mistake, stay tuned :) Update, i got an answer from upstream (quick as usual :D), The E1000 driver isn't currently shipped with VirtualBox OSE edition, a the moment is difficult to say what are the plans for this adapter in the OSE edition. So my personal suggestion is to use the PUEL edition of virtualbox[1] if you need that adapter to run your guests.
