Description Timo Boettcher 2003-06-21 05:06:56 UTC
After experiencing http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20378
I made a mistake and let portage put baselayout down to stable. As I wanted to
update baselayout again, I got

server root # ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge baselayout
[...]
 * Please install sys-apps/gawk-3.1.1-r2 or later!
!!! ERROR: sys-apps/baselayout-1.8.6.8-r1 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 128, Exitcode 0
!!! gawk too old
server root # emerge -s gawk
[...]
*  sys-apps/gawk
      Latest version available: 3.1.1-r2
      Latest version installed: 3.1.2-r3
Size of downloaded files: 1,831 kB
server root #

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Not sure, but
1. emerge gawk-3.1.2-r3
2. emerge baselayout-1.8.6.8-r1
should give you what I am seeing.
Both are the current unstable versions of the two packets

Actual Results:
see "Details"

Expected Results:
emerged baselayout

Portage 2.0.48-r1 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.2.2, glibc-2.3.1-r4)

Sorry if this bug is a duplicate, I couldn't search because I just got a red box with:

The bug seems to be duplicate of both:
