Would it be possible for you to bisect this? The general procedure is outlined here: http://www.reactivated.net/weblog/archives/2006/01/using-git-bisect-to-find-buggy-kernel-patches/ In this case, because it is a specific driver that is having the problem, it might be best to start off by just looking at changes made to that driver. You can do that by starting the bisect with the command: "git bisect start -- drivers/media/video/saa7134". If you need any assistance with this just ask. Created attachment 160176 [details, diff] fix for 2.6.25 Actually, I've already done it. The problem is already fixed upstream on the v4l-dvb tree. I've reverse bisected it to locate the change that fixed it: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/mchehab/v4l-dvb.git;a=commitdiff;h=c117d05cd4c09342f97ba1c6ef63f0bae3239a39 I've backported the change to 2.6.25 and it works fine here. fixed in gentoo-sources-2.6.25-r7 |
