Now there is a long pause, possibly infinite.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Insert CD into tray and boot.
2. Let it load modules.
3. Watch udev scripts print errors.

Actual Results:  
I cannot get to a shell.

Expected Results:  
I would like a bash prompt.

I/O errors imply a bad burn or at least bad hardware. Please verify your burned CD and reopen if it all checks out.
