Hi,

Would you consider adding uvcvideo driver patch to getpatches extra? The driver supports many popular standalone webcams as well as laptop ones and would make Gentoo even more user-friendly. The patch is widely used my other distros by default.

I saw this quote from genpatches website:

And linux-uvc is in upstream 2.6.26-rc9 (commit c0efd232929c2cd87238de2cccdaf4e845be5b0c) so it meets the criteria set forth by dsd: http://www.reactivated.net/weblog/archives/2007/07/new-hardware-support-in-the-gentoo-kernel/

gentoo-sources-2.6.26 is now in portage
