Description Jacob 2008-07-07 06:40:18 UTC
Audacious leaks X resources (pixmaps) when playing. Eventually it becomes very slow to update (e.g. redraw upon switching to the desktop) and to change songs.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Audacious
2. Start xrestop
3. Play music in Audacious while watching xrestop

Actual Results:
The Pxms number rises whenever Audacious is playing. After some hours it's in the tens of thousands and Audacious is slow to display, skip songs, etc.

Expected Results:
Doesn't leak resources and remains usable indefinitely.

Example:
xrestop output when Audacious is started, and then after playing a 3:49 song:

res-base Wins GCs Fnts Pxms Misc Pxm mem Other Total PID Identifier
1e00000 84 21 1 37 27 1398K 4K 1402K 21071 Audacious
1e00000 84 21 1 308 27 1898K 4K 1902K 21071 Audacious

As far as I've noticed, this number never goes down.

System info follows.

Same process, after it's been playing for awhile. At this point it takes almost a second for Audacious to redraw when I go to that desktop.

Try audacious-2.0.1, and reopen if it's still an issue.
