*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 208021 *** I am using defaults for layman and eix, eix should automatically handle this, and layman-1.2.0-r1 download repos at /usr/local/portage/layman instead of /usr/portage/local/layman Thanks Adding the layman maintainer to cc list... hopefully he will have advice on how eix can find the layman make.conf without any horrible hacks. Otherwise, how about making the path be a mandatory argument to update-eix-layman, and document why this was done in the eix man page? In the new eix svn trunk (>=0.13.3), I added a python call to set the defaults, using layman's configure module/Config class; I hope that the interface of this module/class remains rather stable. Closing since eix-0.13.3 is now in the tree. |
