I attempted to update to the most recent version of ivtv, ver. 1.2.0, and compiling fails.  I've used gentoo-sources-2.6.25-r4 and r5.

I have this problem too.  This is probably related to comment #2 in Bug 223851, but I've been waiting for an official patch.
