emerge -u1 gnome was rebuilding metacity (make -j3) on 2008b2 with updated glibc and gcc.  GCC segfaulted.

When you build it again, does GCC fail exactly in the same line?

hi highly doudbt this is metacity's code being borked. Please note that -O3 optimization level isn't supported by gnome herd nor by gnome upstream.

Adding toolchain to CC.

builds fine for me

verify it crashes at the same place every time and if so, post the preprocessed output as an attachment
