* dev-libs/elfutils Latest version available: 0.131-r2 Latest version installed: 0.131-r2 dev-libs/elfutils-0.131-r2 is not marked stable for any arch, while elfutils-0.127 is for all arches. I suggest reopening this bug, because it has not really been fixed. Will attach a patch for elfutils-0.127. Created attachment 158341 [details, diff]
Patch to make the inline functions in elfutils-0.127 conform to ISO C99.
This patch allows dev-libs/elfutils-0.127 to be compiled with gcc-4.3.1.
thanks for the patch, but building stable packages w/ GCC 4.3 isn't supported (In reply to comment #4) > thanks for the patch, but building stable packages w/ GCC 4.3 isn't supported > Sorry - but I fear I do not really understand what you want to implicate with your reply. (In reply to comment #5) > Sorry - but I fear I do not really understand what you want to implicate with > your reply. I think it's about not being able to support certain combinations of stable packages and testing GCC. I had that same problem but can confirm that elfutils-0.131-r2 compiles fine using GCC 4.3.1-r1... Cheerio! |
