See the numerals 1 and 2 that are converted to Hindu numerals.

Comment 4 George Deligeorgis 2008-06-21 14:43:36 UTC
I've added to images comparing the PDF and original document.
The issue is incorrect handling of numerals that get translated into Hindi instead of arabic. Please see http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=86811
which deals with this upstream for details.
The upstream bug is closed as fixed!
Just my two bits.of information
Comment 5 George Deligeorgis 2008-06-21 14:51:23 UTC
I can verify this actually is broken
Also check bug 87669 upstream.
Comment 6 Evan 2008-06-23 15:25:03 UTC
That'd be http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=87669 which I
opened, not knowing that it may be a Gentoo bug rather than an oofice one.

If it weren't for the one Ubuntu user seeing the same thing, I'd think it was
something in Gentoo, but I'm not sure. The closed oofice 'fixed' bug
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=86811 is marginally related,
but the oofice guys were hoping fixing it would fix this bug. Obviously not.

I won't duplicate them here but you can see my odt/pdf examples at the 87669
bug on the openoffice.org site as well as http://widgetron.net/ooops/ which
doesn't include anything from 2.4.1 (just 2.4.0) but demonstrates the bug as it
appears in both.
Comment 7 Alex Opie 2008-06-28 22:00:59 UTC
Just thought I'd poke my nose in and say that I'm on Ubuntu also, and I get this bug, so it may well be OOo rather than Gentoo.
Comment 8 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-10-16 20:56:24 UTC
Do you still see that with OOo 3.0?

OpenOffice 3.0 not fix it.
Comment 10 Libor Bukata 2009-09-17 09:49:03 UTC
OpenOffice 3.1.1 fix this bug.
