I've added to images comparing the PDF and original document. The issue is incorrect handling of numerals that get translated into Hindi instead of arabic. Please see http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=86811 which deals with this upstream for details. The upstream bug is closed as fixed! Just my two bits.of information I can verify this actually is broken Also check bug 87669 upstream. That'd be http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=87669 which I opened, not knowing that it may be a Gentoo bug rather than an oofice one. If it weren't for the one Ubuntu user seeing the same thing, I'd think it was something in Gentoo, but I'm not sure. The closed oofice 'fixed' bug http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=86811 is marginally related, but the oofice guys were hoping fixing it would fix this bug. Obviously not. I won't duplicate them here but you can see my odt/pdf examples at the 87669 bug on the openoffice.org site as well as http://widgetron.net/ooops/ which doesn't include anything from 2.4.1 (just 2.4.0) but demonstrates the bug as it appears in both. Just thought I'd poke my nose in and say that I'm on Ubuntu also, and I get this bug, so it may well be OOo rather than Gentoo. Do you still see that with OOo 3.0? (In reply to comment #8) > Do you still see that with OOo 3.0? > OpenOffice 3.0 not fix it. OpenOffice 3.1.1 fix this bug. |
