dev-python/gnome-python-extras should depend on >=www-client/mozilla-firefox
as mozilla-firefox-3 is in portage now

Have you tested that it does indeed work with any mozilla-firefox version in the tree?

i assume current ebuild wants to exclude firefoxversions 1.X.
but with -3 in portage this should probably be changed

No, current ebuild wants to exclude whatever isn't firefox-2. That includes firefox 1 and firefox 3. Firefox 3 doesn't include the files needed by gnome-python-extras, xulrunner does.

(I know I'm mostly repeating armin76 I just was slower to press the send button :p)

versions in tree doesn't work with firefox 3, nor xulrunner 1.9 and firefox 1/1.5 was removed for good reasons (not supported by upstream anymore iirc)

whenever the package will support newer versions, the deps will be updated. please don't open bugs just because you think it could work, but check beforehand
