www-client/mozilla-firefox-bin-3.0_rc3 is unable to find the nsplugin of emul-linux-x86-java-1.6.0.06.

$ eselect java-nsplugin list
Available 32-bit Java browser plugins

Available 64-bit Java browser plugins

$ readlink -f /usr/lib32/nsbrowser/plugins/javaplugin.so 
/opt/emul-linux-x86-java-1.6.0.06/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so

$ equery b /opt/emul-linux-x86-java-1.6.0.06/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so

Looks fine so far, however www-client/mozilla-firefox-bin-3.0_rc3 ignores /usr/lib32/nsbrowser/plugins/ and uses /opt/firefox/plugins instead.


The quick fix is as easy as:
$ ln -s /opt/emul-linux-x86-java-1.6.0.06/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so /opt/firefox/plugins/

www-client/mozilla-firefox-bin-3.0_rc3 should use /usr/lib32/nsbrowser/plugins/ or eselect java-nsplugin should additionally link in /opt/firefox/plugins.
