Description Denis de Leeuw Duarte 2003-06-12 11:44:00 UTC
When I try to emerge the snd package the md5 check fails. This is apparently
because the script looks at /usr/portage/distfiles//snd-6.tar.gz (Note the
double slash!!).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge snd

Actual Results:

!!! File is corrupt or incomplete. (Digests do not match)
>>> our recorded digest: 3168a858919dcc9a07ad686929a4acf2
>>>  your file's digest: a43dc01275bedb4e55c5152a9f0cebb8
!!! File does not exist: /usr/portage/distfiles//snd-6.tar.gz

Expected Results:
Well, guess.

no, it's not the double slash -- it's a wrong digest, meaning that the upstream people probably changed things but kept the version the same. either that or it's a security compromise
Comment 2 J. Ellis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-06-20 16:49:32 UTC
Seemant speaks the truth - snd is often updated without changing the version.

I've removed the old version (snd-6) and moved the current (snd-6.7) to stable.

Thanks
