GKrellm 2.3.1 had a change in battery monitor...does it work now for you? No, sorry, it's made no difference. Another thing, also only since the change of kernel version: I get an ERROR message in gkrellm, between the Fan sensor and Disk displays. In fact I now find that I get a variable number of these messages: each time I deselect and then reselect the HDDtemp plugin I get another instance of it. Killing and restarting gkrellm restores it to a single ERROR message. I've got the battery status monitor working with gentoo-sources-2.6.26-r1 by selecting the deprecated /proc/acpi stuff. The error messages I mentioned in msg 2 are still there, though. Gkrellm 2.3.2 can read the battery status directly from sysfs. gkrellm-2.3.2 is in the tree. |
