Build fails because of PAT support changes. I've backported the 173.08 patch to 96.43.05 now it at least compiles and also seems to work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install kernel > 2.6.25
2. emerge nvidia-drivers-96.43.05


Actual Results:  
compile time errors

Expected Results:  
no errors

I've build it with vanilla-sources-2.6.26_rc4 and I encountered some random X freezes I don't knopw if it is related to the latest changes.

Please reopen the bug once nVidia accepts the patch (whether modified or unmodified) and posts it on nvNews. I'm sorry to report that I am not willing to carry patches that are not sanctioned by upstream.

Seems like everything works ok.
That Nvidia... grrr
