Can you please test 1.4.4 and report if that has the same failure and post the failure? Thanks. libevent 1.4.4 builds correctly. What's more surprising is that 1.4.3 now builds correctly too. I just checked my emerge.log to be sure that I was on the same system that failed earlier and indeed I was. There were several packages upgraded to the last stable version/installed since last try though. I don't see any which should be used by the build process but here's the list anyway: net-misc/memcached-1.2.5 media-libs/akode-2.0.2 net-libs/libpcap-0.9.8-r1 app-admin/syslog-ng-2.0.9 dev-libs/libxslt-1.1.24 app-text/rarian-0.6.0-r1 dev-java/sun-jdk-1.6.0.06 app-text/scrollkeeper-9999 net-ftp/lftp-3.7.0 media-libs/sdl-net-1.2.7 x11-libs/wxGTK-2.8.7.1-r1 sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-2.6.24-r8 media-libs/libgphoto2-2.4.1 media-video/vlc-0.9.0_alpha20080524 media-gfx/gphoto2-2.4.1 media-gfx/gtkam-0.1.14 x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-169.12 app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-java-1.6.0.06 app-emulation/wine-1.0_rc2 net-fs/nfs-utils-1.1.0-r1 net-misc/nxclient-3.2.0 # ~amd64 (In reply to comment #2) > libevent 1.4.4 builds correctly. Thanks for you prompt response and willingness to improve Gentoo! =) |
