ggv is the old gnome postscript document viewer and develpoment is likely stopped in favor of poppler based solutions. It is still used by sci-visualization/pyxplot package but could probably be replaced by any other poppler based viewer. Please advise so we can determine if we want to stabilize 2.12 or simply last rite the package.

Hi Gilles,

My apologies for the delay in responding. pyxplot has
|| ( app-text/gv app-text/ggv )
as dependency so it should be no problem to remove ggv
if you decide to remove it from the tree. Just let me
know what you decide to do and I will get rid of the
dependency.

no problem, I wish to remove ggv since it's been superseeded by evince which shares poppler with kpdf and xpdf. I'll proceed with that in the coming week.
