Description Pieter De Wit 2003-06-05 23:31:35 UTC
Hey Guys,

I am using sendmail and uw-imap/pop. I am having a problem dropping mail to my
local users. Somehow sendmail/procmail/mail.local want to drop the mail in
/home/user/.maildir

Now the problem with that is that uw-imap/pop doesn't see it there and nor does
pine. Is there something that I am missing. I have emerged procmail and taken a
few settings from RedHat's sendmail.mc to see if that will fix the problem, but
no luck. I am using the ~x86 tree.

Thanks,

Pieter De Wit

I forgot to add that I am seeing the following errors in my log file (LogLevel is set to 999 :) )

./xfh566OY4c031586: unlink-fail 2

This happenes a couple of times per message.

Thanks,

Pieter

Hey Guys,

If you change /etc/procmailrc to DEFAULT=/var/mail/$LOGNAME all seems fine. Is there any other problems with this? PINE and MAIL also works now. What is the std meant to be ?

Thanks,

Pieter

uw-imap is for non-maildir systems.
Gentoo is by default maildir.
Use a better imap daemon instead.
I strongly recommend courier-imap myself.
