you can grab a test ebuild in this bug#220144. For me it broke host networking (known issue upstream). You will need to use the Intel PRO/1000 emulated card, however that didn't work for me so I needed to switch to NAT which may present problems for some. Read here: http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=6231 Another wierd issue for me is that the screen resolution is not automatically adjusting upon resize. I have to click the adjust window size button and then it works while the VM is open. Upon restart though it doesn't work. I saw a bug on that upstream as well. If this version gets added to portage it may be best to ~arch mask it in portage or better yet hard mask until the issues get worked out. I have seen there is a 6.2 SVN version but I do not think Sun has released a binary as of yet... I actually did search, using the advanced search, with literally all possibilities in all lists, with "virtualbox 1.6" without the quotes in the subject. I'm at a loss as to why 220144 did not show up. Cheers. |
