Maybe it's looking for a network printer and is having DNS trouble on top? (mid-air collision so reposting) actually run /etc/init.d/avahi-daemon stop and you can see the editor open as the service stops. The above is a fix that allows printing. (if you don't use a zeroconf printer, I guess) net-dns/avahi-0.6.22-r1 was the only gtk+ connected thing that my logs say I upgraded lately. I guess this is now a bug in avahi? Sorry if this is no longer a relevant bug for gentoo. Actually I think its cups-1.3.7-r1, as uninstalling avahi doesn't do the trick. This Eclipse version is obsolete and removed from tree. Closing. |
