vim 6.2 search for /usr/share/vim/vim61/syntax/syntax.vim and obviously doesn't
find it... it should search in vim62

it is a problem within the ebuild itself or can be due to an erroneous vimrc ?

Is VIMRUNTIME set in your environment?

echo $VIMRUNTIME

now it is ok. sorry, probably after the reboot the VIMRUNTIME var has been dropped and now it works.
