The portage-rescue-2.0.47-r10-x86.tbz2 appears to be compiled against glibc
2.3, which makes it impossible to use for installing 1.2 systems.  The sandbox
fails with /usr/lib/portage/bin/sandbox: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3' not
found (required by /usr/lib/portage/bin/sandbox).
