Description Take Vos 2002-04-28 16:23:42 UTC
Just distroyed my portage (don't worry got it back again).
But portage-rescue-1.8.19.tar.bz2 is corrupt (trailing stuff)

Maybe because it was not put into CVS with the -kb flag set?
Comment 1 Jon Nelson (RETIRED) 2002-04-28 22:41:50 UTC
For Drobbins - this is not a bug, the message about corrupt data is just bzip
complaining about the meta-data at the end of the tarball.

At least, tbz2tool is able to extract data from it.
portage-rescue-* should probably be a normal tarball, no?
Comment 2 Daniel Robbins (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-04-29 01:25:19 UTC
it's a portage package and that's ok.
