Bug 219715 – www-apps/wordpress-2.5.1 thinks it's only version 2.5

(Yes I know it's masked for security reasons. Never mind that now. :-)

In the admin pages/dashboard it announces itself as Wordpress 2.5 and therefore nags the admin to upgrade to 2.5.1.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge www-apps/wordpress-2.5.1 (after unmasking)
2. log in as admin
3. View the dashboard

Actual Results:  
"This is WordPress version 2.5. Update to 2.5.1"

Expected Results:  
"This is WordPress version 2.5.1"

From the chatter on the wordpress forums I believe this is a wordpress problem.

I guess it could be corrected with some cleanup function in the ebuild but someone would need to provide a patch for that.
