To get the subject message to go away one must enable the "acct" USE flag to install sys-process/acct, which installs accton.

This is the first time I have installed bootchart so not sure if that is needed, though it seemed to work without acct installed..

I guess my question is, should the acct USE flag be a requirement?

Reproducible: Always

you can use bootchart w/out acct
