kdm's data directory (/var/lib/kdm) is not being created when compiling/installating kdm from the official ebuilds. This for example causes the selection of the previous user in kdm4 to fail.
Creating the dir manually helps, but is not a solution.

Can you confirm this with our 4.1.2 ebuilds. I think this is fixed in them. If true then close this bug :]

Works with 4.1.2 ebuilds.
